Without technical skills most players play kick and run SOCCER... We grew tired of watching kids being given uniforms and told to play, play without instruction, play without direction and play without any technical skills.
We set out to change that - We started a FUTBOL Club where the emphasis is to teach and for students to learn. The club selects every player allowed into our program- this is not a pay to play program. The selection process is done to ensure that players who are passionate about futbol are given an enviroment that they deserve.
The coaches at SOL are not volunteers, they all pocess coaching certifications from USSF & NSCAA .
The coaching directors pocess international coaching certifications from the US - Spain- Brazil- Costa Rica- Uruguay : in addition we are bringing in coaches from Europe and South America to host clinics, camps and ID programs at our new FUT5OL facility yer round.
SOL uses futsal year round to develop technical players, we grew up playing futsal and know the importance of its influence. Futsal is not new or new to our coaches.
"Futsal" started in 1930 when Juan Carlos Ceriani Gravier, a teacher in Montevideo, Uruguay, created a version of indoor football for recreation in YMCAs. His goal was to create a team game that could be played indoor or outdoor but that was similar to futbol, which became quite popular there after Uruguay won the 1930 World Cup and gold medals in the 1924 and 1928 Summer Olympics.
FUTSAL places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure. Futsal is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for football competencies that can be translated into the 11-a-side format of the game. Professional leagues throughout all of Europe exist and next year the US will finally have its own Pro League as well. Futsal is not new, it is the only form of indoor soccer sanctioned by FIFA....
